Why did you decide to fast?
Failing health issues, stagnant metabolism

What was your biggest apprehension going into the fast?
I was expecting to have to deal with huge emotional episodes.

Did you ever consider ending the fast during the process? If so, why? Why did you continue/stop?
No.

Did you accomplish what you set out to do with your fast?
Yes.

Would you recommend that people have their fasts supervised? Why, or why not?
Yes. It is important and helpful to have a healthcare professional monitoring you and letting you know what symptoms are normal.

Why did you choose to fast at the Tanglewood Wellness Center?
Andrea led me here.

What was your experience like at Tanglewood?
Cleansing, relaxing.

What did you experience during the fast?
Mostly fatigue with some backache days 3-6 which made it hard to sleep and lymph drainage days 13-16 which was pretty painful.

How did you spend your time?
Sleeping, reading, meditating, joking, talking….

Just purified water? Were you hungry?
Sometimes I felt that familiar rumble in my stomache but am learing to respond to that differently-as I am told it is not true hunger.

Did you get weak?
Yes.

What was the best part of the process for you?
Releasing emotional baggage and great meditations.

What was the most difficult part of the process for you?
Not having the privacy I am accustomed to at home and not seeing my family in 18 days!

Was it ever painful?
Yes

What are you experiencing now after the fast?
I broke my fast 2 days ago. I am enjoying eating fresh organic watermelon and cantaloupe.

What kind of diet are you following after your fast?
I plan to eat raw food, following Loren and Tim’s guidelines for at least 6 weeks—I may be a raw food convert!

Is eating difficult for you now that you’ve complete the fast?
I get full really fast.

Would you fast again?
Yes.

What advice would you give to other fasters?
Eat raw for at least 2 weeks prior to fasting.

Additional Comments:
Both Loren and Tim have a wealth of experience and information. I feel lucky to have undergone this fast with their guidance.
The home is beautiful and the interns are fantastic!
