As you probably know, fasting is the best way to allow your body to detoxify and heal itself, and is a safe and natural process.

We are dedicated to making your fast as comfortable and easy as possible for you. Tanglewood is located in beautiful Costa Rica. Rooms are clean, spacious, comfortable, and are the perfect place to relax for your fast, whether it's for 1 week or 3 months.

Tanglewood uses only natural materials wherever possible, to create a serene and healthy environment for you. Untreated natural fiber rugs, organic cotton upholstery and linens, and solid wood furniture ensure that the air at Tanglewood is as clean as possible, unpolluted by off-gassing. Ample tropical plants beautify the house and further purify the air.

You'll probably want to spend the majority of your time here resting quietly or meditating in your room. You'll also enjoy relaxing in the beautiful Living Room surrounded by plants, browsing through the books in the Library, or sunning yourself while enjoying the fantastic view of the surrounding mountains and lush valley.

If you desire, you can schedule an optional massage or Reiki treatment while you're here.

You'll receive the purest possible filtered water while fasting here. Our water filter not only removes virtually all impurities, it also provides water that can be easily assimilated by your body. When it's time to break your fast, we'll help you transition back with fresh locally grown, raw produce, some of it grown right here at the center.

Loren Lockman will supervise your fast. With 14+ years of experience supervising many people through fasts of anywhere from 2 to 67 days, you can relax knowing that you are in competent and caring hands.
