Not really – while others were re-feeding I had thoughts of eating.

I fasted for 21 days, that was my biggest accomplishment.

Would you recommend that people have their fasts supervised? Why or why not?
Absolutely supervised- in order to understand the changes the body is going through and to receive encouragement and support!

Why did you choose to fast at the Tanglewood Wellness Center?
It’s the ideal place.

What was your experience at the TWC like?
Caring and supportive, I had a very positive experience fasting.

Never hungry! Totally amazing.

Knowing and feeling the detox process.

Not sleeping well, and this nasty detox taste in my mouth.

Discomforts came and went. In retrospect I don’t think it was “pain”, just different degrees of discomfort!

What did you experience after the fast?
More energy, more clarity. I feel more well.

Was eating difficult afterwards?
I’m eating small portions and not as much as I thought I would because my body doesn’t want to (6th day of re-feeding).

Would you fast again?

What piece of advice would you give to other fasters?
Prepare yourself to be “still and quiet” (and perhaps bored) and allow others to care for you.

Additional comments:
The interns were outstanding, supportive and wonderful. Thank you Ake, Kimberly and Kim. Dr. Tim Trader was always here for me, the best person to supervise a fast.

Additional suggestions:
In order to know that we are drinking two pitchers, I recomment pitchers not be kept full – refill when close to empty.
